Pixar Fans, you gotta get these!
When I bought this, I was expecting them as the description states, coiled and in a box. When they arrived, to my suprise, they are not coil bound at all, but each postcard is loose and kept inside the box. This was great, as I was planning on putting some of these in frames around the house anyways. The price....let me tell you, they are worth it. If you work it out, thats about 17¢ each, where most generic postcards go for $1 or more. The artwork covers all the features and shorts from Pixar to date, including their upcoming feature Cars. After showing these to my animation collegues, they agree, this is one purchase you cannot be without if you are a lover of Pixar's work.

Great bargain!!
This was a great set of postcards, real high quality paper stock. My intention was to use them to mail to my nephew away at school, but once my kids saw the cards, they all took some for their walls to hang. With 100 cards there is plenty to go around. My favorite is the old man from the toy story shorts...

Nice postcards great for thank you cards!
We used these for my son's thank you cards after his birthday. Each kid got a colorful card to keep with a little note from my son. We saved on postage and we still have many more cards left. Nice quality!

At 15¢ a postcard, an ocean's sweaty value
Just got my copy, and I was pleasantly surprised by the packaging. You can't tell from Amazon's picture, but this collection comes in a nice recipe-card-style box. The box makes it super easy to flip through and enjoy all the cards. Here are the first cards I've mailed off, to give you a sense:1) a photo of crutches by David Byrne.2) a complete short story by Jonathan Safran Foer that has been typeset in teeny-tiny font.3) the bird from the cover of McSweeney's 4, painted by Dave Eggers.4) a gross photograph of toothpaste on a hot dog.5) a funny postcard that just says "DEAR INTERNET CITIZEN," with a cute little drawing of a loaf of bread beneath the words. The cards are divided into 5 tabbed sections, and the tabbed section-dividers are, themselves, postcards. (I've posted a photo that sort of shows this. Thanks to whoever shot it!)Roughly 80% of the collection consists of artwork (and a couple stories, like the...

Great cards, great deal
I, too, am no great fan of McSweeney's The Magazine, but McSweeney's The Postcards are splendid -- quirky, fun, and a broad enough range of styles and themes to cover any occasion or recipient. Nicely printed on good quality stock, these are a steal.

Everything you love about McSweeney's and more
I really loved this. Every postcard is unique and charming in their own way. You might recognize some of them from previous McSweeney's books (illustrations or covers) and there are also a few short stories in some of the postcards. And for 100 gorgeous postcards, it's definitely worth your money.

Very Creative Set!
This book's composed of 30 nice, thick, study postcards. The cards seem to be tailored toward adults with an immature adolescent in them - perfect for smiles if you like that kind of humor (which I do, very much!).Worth noting the cards aren't really appropriate for children - the humor tends to be a bit sophisticated and there are cards that depict used condoms (albeit hardly noticeable... although hilariously planted on a squirrel's head), alcoholic drinks, implied violence, angst, an astronaut in space wearing only underpants... There are also quite a few with underlying messages concerning life and depression (or perhaps am I reading too much into it?).The artwork is very lively and interesting to look at; I honestly thought I was in for a very generic set of cards with pretty pictures to look at but there's a lot more to it - in particular the humor really tickles me. :)My favorite card: "Dear neighbour, Couldn't help but notice you crying last...

subtle skewering of popular culture on cardstock
Nicely designed, laugh out loud post card goodness.I had to get a second copy so I could mail off thecards without having to part with them. The nerdy slant of the jokes make these close to my heart.

Very cute set of quirky cards
Some are way cuter than others; some are just plain odd - so be prepared to not "get" them all. Bur maybe that's half the point. I've hung some around my home (bathroom in particular) inCute frames and they look nice.

Perfect for Postcard swapping
I ordered these for my postcard swaps, and have gotten a ton of compliments on them. The postcards come in a book, but are easy to "tear" out. They aren't perforated or spiral bound. They are adhesive attached so no worries about the weird edges. Each one is unique and just as fun as the Where's Waldo books. My kids love them, too. They are great for swaps, just to send a note, arts and crafts, and even just to hang up for some added color.

Truly Phenomenal
Not expecting much, I ordered these postcards to enjoy myself and to use for Postcrossing. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of these cards - they are a relatively thick paper compared with standard postcards. They are bound, but they come out of the book easily. They feature clips taken from Waldo books, and Waldo is obviously in every one. I found Wizard Whitebeard and some of Waldo's other friends in several of the postcards too. Each card features a short list on the back of the card with 3-4 additional items you can look for on the card, so once you've found Waldo you can find those as well. The last postcard is different from the rest, as it depicts Waldo, the wizard, odlaw, woof, and wenda full-sized on a striped background in a full body shot, with similar poses to Waldo on the front of the book. Very fun, I would highly recommend these to anybody who enjoys postcards.

Super duper book o' cards for vacation.
Seeing as how Waldo is the consummate traveler, what could be more perfect than a book of postcards from him? This little, I mean phenomenal, book contains 30 scenes taken from the seven previously published titles by Martin Handford. The iconic traveler is hidden on each and every one.You might think it would be easier to locate the traveler on the smaller postcard sized pages, but I still found the task to be a challenge. Waldo is excellent at blending into the scenes. In addition to the main character, on the back of each card is a small checklist with three more items to find. This is the perfect sized book to toss into your suitcase for a trip. Better yet, pack it in the car and let the kids amuse themselves on the way there. Filling out postcards for their friends is the ideal activity to have on hand while on vacation; just remember to affix an post office approved stamp over the Waldo illustrated one. Remember how great it was to get your own mail as a...

Good stuff.
Some of the postcards included in this box are priceless. 'Forget the old Wonder-woman, here's the NEW wonder-woman!'- and it shows a pictures of a hippy wonder woman.I'm a person who likes superheroes, so I really enjoyed this set.A bit of a disclaimer, though- there's a disproportionate number of batman and superman cards in here. If you like someone who isn't as 'big'- like, say, the green lantern or the flash- then you'll probably be disappointed. Both of them had only one or two in the entire box.

well made
The cards are well made - high quality stuffs. They are real postcards you can mail out to friends and families.I will keep them for collection however.I hope DC (and Marvel) will made more. Maybe dedicated collections for each character. They are small in size; perfect for collection.

Postcards

These postcards seem so glamorous and chic, far from the more mundane reputation of motels today. These postcards make me want to put on my best swim cap and take a dip.

DudeCraft represents a different kind of tribe in the world of making things, intentionally blurring the lines between, art, craft, engineering, and the good old “Can Do” spirit.

We all know that length of contract is crucial in these discussions and we all know that the new regional television contracts have baseball officials handing out lucrative contract extensions faster than advertisers can fill up spots. We all know Hamilton is the best player in the American League and we all know that his annual average salary should be somewhere north of $20 million. Carl Yastrzemski did it for the Red Sox in 1967 in the greatest single season by one player in the history of the game, leading the American League in batting average, hone runs and RBI. Can we also mention that Hamilton is currently on pace to hit 75 home runs and 194 RBI, which would be Major League single-season records. We all know Hamilton’s history and we all know that these mega-term contracts carry considerable risk. We all know Barry Bonds hit 72 home runs in 2001 but the single-season RBI record is 191 by Hack Wilson for the Cubs back in 1930. But general manager Jon Daniels went on national radio and told one of his industry buddies that the Rangers were talking with his agent, which combined with four home runs at Camden Yards was all anybody needed to start opining about, money,... Josh Hamilton hit four home runs against the Orioles on Tuesday night and of course it was all about his contract. By the way, his batting average is. 406, which is what Williams hit in 1941 when he was the last player to hit over. He led the league in many other categories including, no doubt the mystical, magical WAR, but batting average, home runs and RBI were big deals back then. As of Wednesday morning, Hamilton led everybody in batting average, home runs and RBI.

Postcards from Pismo does the same thing for kids who are trying to understand our current global situation, and will undoubtedly appeal to military families and non-military families alike. When I was a kid, I read The War Began at Supper: Letters to Miss Loria by Patricia Reilly Giff, wherein students exchanged letters with their former student teacher discussing all their fears about the first Gulf War. This timely book explores a lot of the important questions kids have about the military and going to war within very safe and comfortable boundaries.
